MY STORYBOARDING

here is the progress of my storyboarding... based on the sketch book

First storyboarding... after being commented with the previous one

then i changed to Graphic novel because still confusing whether i choose storyboard or graphic novel...

i pick up one of my scene and colour it with greyscale style... using Photoshop and Wacom

my STEP BY STEP background....

This is what i make for one day... and still haven't finished yet... still contiuing... i use pen tool and brush tool in making this background.

RESEARCH of my timeline

i choose 1970 era because at that time, the attire is almost the same with fairy tale costume. Also, at that time, mercury has been found. Why mercury? because my story tell that beast face become bad because spoilt by mercury many years ago. Then, plastic surgery is not too improve and medical technology still develop. The setting is still direct to ancient time.

my inspiration of my colouring background and character

Based on what i ask some of my friends about waht kind of style i should draw to my stroyboard, they said the top one so i start to make like that. Actually, i was inspired by cartoon network in making the picture like the top, they emphasize with shadow and the shadow can be seen clearly, i think it is more related to do if i do my storyboard style... So i try to develop my storyboard with this style. Seems more cartoon.

Here is some of my inspiration in colouring my storyboard. For my character, i choose manga style. I plan to make the concept art like the bottom one. But still ongoing...

for the background, my inspiration also come from CARTOON NETWORK. here is some example of cartoon network artwork.

my own character for Beauty and the Beast

My fairy tale is Beauty and the beast and i made the title for this story

Timeline : 1970s

Setting : house 

Audience : children and teenagers

My drawing style is manga and i colour it with my style that i enjoy and convenient with it. I plan to make a storyboarding for 2D animation.

I drew my "Belle" version using photoshop and wacom and this is the outcome. She is the main character of my storyboarding :D

after add a title... Actually, i am still confuse i should make picture book or graphic novel, but i try graphic novel first. I make both of this picture as my cover first :D

my character

my character style is manga. I try to draw with my style and using manga because for me, it is funny and easier to be drawn. I am influenced by Arina Tanemura. Her character, colour and style impressed me and so far, i still not colouring yet but soon, i will post it in this blog! watch out! xD
